The concept of flexible offices and shared services grew out of the need for small businesses to control overhead yet operate at peak efficiency. The first centers started as telephone answering or secretarial services that subleased offices. Advancements in technology expanded the demand for services, and helped develop the industry.

Palace Business Centres’ beginnings date back to when Donna Haskins and Thomas Kennedy saw the need for an office business center in downtown Erie. With their combined strengths in business services and real estate/development, they opened their first location in January, 1996 in the stately Palace Centre building in Erie, PA. Being located in the metropolitan business district led the partners to offer services required by businesses and professionals. Steady growth led to the opening of their second location just a block away in late 1999.

Always looking for opportunities in larger markets, and the strong desire to grow, led to a consolidation of the two locations and expansion in the Renaissance Centre in the fall of 2009. This positioned Palace Business Centres for future growth in other markets.

In 2010, the Palace Business Centres became an investor in the former King James II building in Westlake, OH. The building has been renamed to Westlake Centre and Palace Business Centres opened their first Ohio location in June of 2011. The Company has made a significant investment in technology in the Westlake project in order to meet the demand businesses require in today’s environment.

In addition to their involvement in the Global Workspace industry, the partners remain actively involved in the Erie Community and are looking forward to doing the same in Westlake.

We guarantee the highest quality service, and help clients build successful businesses with the same friendly, professional support they would expect from their own staff.
